Ashleigh & Kaile’s Waldara Farm Wedding

Waldara Farm Wedding Photos

When I first met Ashleigh and Kaile, I asked them why they chose Waldara Farm for their Wedding Venue and their answer was simply, ‘we fell in love with Waldara and couldn’t see ourselves getting married anywhere else’. It’s not until you see the Waldara Farm that you completely understand why they were head over heals with the place. Located near Oberon, west of the Blue Mountains, Waldara has over 800 acres of farmland and is just the most serene environment to tie the knot. Both Ashleigh and Kaile stayed at Waldara’s on site Wedding Accommodation the night before the Wedding with their respective parties.

I arrived early on the Wedding Day to get photos with both the Bride and Groom in the beautiful Homestead’s before the Ceremony was held just outside on the lawn. Following the Ceremony Ashleigh & Kaile had a Cocktail Hour with lawn games as we went around and took group photos with the guests. When it was finally time for portraits, Waldara Farm was the perfect backdrop for some incredible Wedding Photos. Within 5 minutes you can go between the Hay Shed, the Farm House, the Rose Garden or the Island in the middle of the Lake at Waldara! It’s incredible. The Reception was held inside The Barn at Waldara which was more than spacious enough for the 120+ Guest Count. Midway through the reception we went down to the back paddocks of Waldara Farm for some Sunset Photos. These Photos were so incredible and the whole venue at Waldara Farm just glowed Orange!

I loved

That these two decided to go out at sunset and take photos! When it comes to photography, there really is no substitute for nice lighting and Golden Hour always makes for the best results. How it worked was after these Ashleigh & Kaile finished their main meal at 7pm, they left the reception and we walked down to a pre-determined spot on the farm for some gorgeous sunset photos. This only took 15 minutes while everyone else was busy eating, but it also freed up time in the afternoon so they could spend time and mingle with their guests.

Something Unique?

Instead of a designated Family/Group Photo time, Ashleigh & Kaile just walked around during their cocktail hour and asked groups one by one if they would like a photo. This felt way more relaxed and allowed them to just hang out with guests without feeling pressure to stand and smile for 20 minutes. Another bonus was that very photo has a different background and looks super unique.

Time-Savers?

The biggest timesaver of all timesavers is having your Wedding Ceremony & Reception at the same venue which these guys did and it honestly can save hours of travel on your Wedding Day. There was no fuss about having to leave Bridal Prep to get to the Ceremony because it was literally set up right at their doorstep. Following the ceremony we could go straight into Family Photos and Wedding Portraits because Waldara Farm provided the most beautiful backdrop for all of our Wedding Images!! All this while the guests just mingled around, not having to stress about travelling anywhere else.

I want to give a special shoutout to Bec from Waldara Farm who was the most incredible Wedding Coordinator I have ever seen. She kept things running so smoothly behind the scenes and even when things went wrong she picked up on it straight away and had it fixed before the couple even noticed. She was doing everything from organising backup Audio for the Ceremony, to serving drinks at the bar and even helping pack up at the end of the night. Trust me when I say that people like Bec are few and far between and it pays to have someone as knowledgeable and kind as her in your corner on your Wedding Day!
