If I didn’t tell you, I bet you wouldn’t guess that the week leading into Dusti & Ben’s Wedding was an absolute week from hell. Not only was their original Wedding Ceremony location near the Lion enclosure at Dubbo Zoo underwater due to heavy rain, their Wedding Reception venue also had to be changed just two days out from their wedding due to water damage. Top it off with me (the Photographer) having a Covid scare and the Groom also being sick in the week leading up to the Wedding and you have yourself an uphill battle to even pull off such an event. Nevertheless these guys pulled through and delivered one of the most incredible Wedding days that I have ever been a part of. Everyone chipped in and helped out which made the day run so smoothly, even the weather cooperated and turned on the sunshine for us.

Dusti started the day getting ready with her bridesmaids in her family home, while Ben & his groomsmen got dressed at the Westbury Bed & Breakfast. The Wedding Ceremony was held on the lawns outside the Savannah Function Room at Dubbo Zoo and was officiated by the incredibly talented Pippa Moore. After the ceremony Ben & Dusti went off for the most the unique experience you could have on your Wedding Day, Feeding Giraffes at the Zoo. After we got some Wedding Photos with the Giraffes, the whole Wedding Party jumped in some Zoofari carts and drove around the Zoo taking photos and having a blast. We followed this up with more photos out at Dundullimal Homestead and then on to Club Dubbo for the Wedding Reception. The whole day was just one big celebration and allowed us to all forget about the week from hell that had just been as we kicked back and partied the night away!
